This and That

I ran the Vision5k last weekend and it was miserably hot out, but despite that I powered through and actually had my best official time of 2008. I'm still coming in around 40 minutes though and I'm trying to up the pace. My Mattalyst got me a great heart rate monitor and GPS doodad that keeps track of how fast you're running and I think it's exactly what I need to continue improving. Hopefully this horrible weather (evil oven, srsly) will break soon so I can practice more before my next race.

My weight loss has plateu'd, and I'm a little bummed, but I knew the second twenty pounds would be harder than the first since I've been carrying it around a lot longer. Getting over the 25lb hump is proving tricky, but I'm still sticking with the NutriSystem which is going great for me.

I'm starting a class on voice over acting next week and I'm really looking forward to it.

I also turn 29 next week.

Congrats on the 5k! I've been attempting to run, but it hasn't been working very well thus far. My weight's been plateauing a bit as well; three weeks of travel did bad things for me.

Good luck with your class - I'm sure you'll like it.

Interesting. My son wants to get into voice acting, you'll have to keep us posted how your class goes (-:

I've heard great things about this school in general, they were recommended by Boston Casting as one of the most legitimate in the area, so I have high hopes. I'll blog it. All the courses are quite cheap, too, on the downlow, I would have paid twice what they were asking!
